West Chester’s classes are very accommodating so I was able to finish my last semester and work full time with no problems!” Anonymous Attending this University gave me so much confidence and knowledge that I was able to land a full time management job 3 months before I even graduated. The classes were entertaining and helpful with preparing myself for a fulltime job. Not only is the campus and town beautiful and safe, but the staff was better than I could have imagined! All of my business professors had real life experience I loved hearing their stories from previous jobs. From my experience, it seems as though not many students remain at the original school they choose, but my first choice was the best choice. “I spent all 4 years of my undergraduate career at West Chester University in PA. The English program was powerful and helped prepare me for my career as a teacher and then my career as an administrator.” Ashlee Lehman The professors were very accommodating and I only had a handful throughout my time there who I felt were not the best. However, when I began my sophomore year, I was not happy there any longer and realized that I should just transfer to West Chester which has a tremendous education program which would help me become a teacher. This college had a tremendous program and I really enjoyed the city. “I transferred to West Chester University after spending my freshman year at a college in Boston. Small class sizes, incredible professors, endless activities, all provided the perfect combination for success and a second home.” Nicole Forrest I was able to obtain an internship for four consecutive years, which allowed me to obtain networking experience and job experience allowing me to leave WCU with a nice bulky resume. The partnerships that are established on and off campus are a true reflection of how invested the university is I the student body. The university is inclusive and welcoming and has endless amounts of resources to their students. “West Chester University is a community built on a foundation and expectation of excellence.

“The education classes were not structured to help future mathematics teachers we always heard about how to approach other subjects… and then oh yea there’s math, too. Good party/bar school that is for sure! The campus is beautiful and the staff around the school is pretty friendly! I made so many friends here and had a great college experience.” Jonathan Heintz Once you get into upper level courses it becomes more close knit with your classmates and professors.

They just read from slides and that was basically it. The only professors I didn’t love were for my science courses (I took about 6 science classes) They really didn’t know how to teach the material. For the most part professor are passionate and helpful. I had an amazing experience at WCU and wouldn’t change it for the world. But, that may be the precise reason I didn’t get the help or formal career instruction I needed from the only individuals best qualified (and paid) to provide me with it simply not being paid enough to care.” Anonymous Thank goodness WCU is comparatively cheap. They’ll let you do whatever you like, whenever you like, so long as you dedicate yourself to “finding yourself” by living (and paying) on campus, at their bookstores, for their park passes, paying their parking violations, and becoming a “more well-rounded person” at their institution. Turns out, a Master’s is the new Bachelor’s! But, as long as Sallie Mae is dishing out loans and your payments are coming in, West Chester doesn’t care. I’ve been constantly told by family, friends, media, and fellow students, that a Bachelor’s is all you need to enter the job market in the field you’ve selected at college. West Chester does not under any circumstances force you to sit down and plan out your graduate career path– they let you fly by the seat of your pants. Nobody, at any point in the process, whether they be the head of the history department or a history professor, informed me that a bachelor’s degree in History without any additional qualifiers is essentially a coupon to make $30k a year or less at any generic 9-5 office job. I completed a Bachelor’s in History, without the intent to become either a teacher or historian. They’ll let you fall through the cracks and not bat an eye, so long as you pay them for the privilege. “Go to West Chester for Physical Therapy or a similar degree.
